10% of Our Opening Weekend Sales Will Go to Non-Profit Military Organization
Mud Bay News | November 19, 2020
We’re excited to announce our Lacey store reopening on November 21st! To celebrate the remodeling of the store, we’ll be donating 10-percent of all of our opening weekend sales to 4 the Fallen. This vital military organization provides support to injured veterans in the form of PTSD-service dogs, adaptive sports programs, and high impact prosthetic devices. These services are provided to veterans at no cost to them by a 100-percent volunteer staff, which makes donations and fundraising particularly important to this organization.
“During the pandemic, our organization missed out on several planned fundraising events that help operate our veteran programs,” said Greg Zayas, co-founder and board member of 4 the Fallen. “The pandemic impacted our veteran programs as our Heroes had to delay travel to receive services such as certifications with PTSD service dogs or fittings for a high impact prosthetic device.”
Postponed athletic events have also impacted the organization and the veterans who participate, explained Zayas. “One of our amputee athletes is a member of the U.S. Para-Olympic Team and is continuing to train. He will now go to the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 instead of this past summer,” he said.
In addition to the 4 the Fallen donation, the Lacey store will be giving swag to the first 100 customers who visit on Saturday. We’ll also hold a giveaway for a $100 gift card for pet owners who come in person to see our newly remodeled location.
Can’t visit this weekend? We will offer two online giveaways for pet owners who want to visit the Lacey store at a later date. The first giveaway will run from November 21st through December 3rd and will have two winners. Each winner will receive $200 grand prize of dog or cat supplies. The second giveaway will be held from December 4th through December 17th. Information about both giveaways and how to register can be found on the Mud Bay Lacey Facebook page.
While we’ll be practicing social distancing and limiting the number of people in the store, Mud Bay Lacey also offers online ordering for curbside pickup or home delivery for people who prefer those ways of shopping. No matter how you want to shop, we’re happy that we’re back to share the holidays with the dog and cat owners of Lacey.
