We’re matching pound-for-pound all pet food donated at our new store
Shelter Partners | July 18, 2020
Mud Bay is celebrating the opening of our Lynnwood Center store on July 18th at 9:00 a.m. by holding a pet food donation drive to benefit PAWS. Anyone who wants to bring dog or cat food to our Lynnwood Center store will have that donation matched by Mud Bay and delivered to PAWS in August. We’re also hosting an online grand opening giveaway of four pet supply baskets—two cat-themed and two-dog themed—for anyone who wants to enter.
This time of year, PAWS, like many other shelters is caring for large numbers of puppies and kittens. This time of year, called ‘baby season’ is further complicated because PAWS also cares for wildlife as well.
“During the spring and summer baby season, PAWS Wildlife Center takes in about 70 percent of the 5,000 injured and orphaned wild animals received all year,” explains PAWS Director of Marketing and Communications Laura Follis. “It’s also a time of year when we receive most of the 1,600 kittens and puppies who come to PAWS. These underage cats and dogs require additional resources including vaccines and spay or neuter surgery.”
While any food is gratefully accepted, Laura had some suggestions for foods that are regularly used at PAWS:
We’ll be accepting any donations and matching them pound-for-pound from July 18 through August 17 to benefit this fantastic animal welfare organization.
