Mud Bay News |  May 8, 2020

Free same-day curbside pickup with online ordering has arrived at all Mud Bays. Visit our Mud Bay ShopLocal portal to order all your favorite food, treats, toys, litter and other items that are stocked at your local Mud Bay. Most orders are fulfilled and ready for pickup within two hours—and we’ll send you an email when we’re ready for your visit.

Customers who prefer to place an order for curbside pickup by phone can call us at 888-426-8339 during store operating hours. We’re also ready to help by phone if you need advice about a purchase, your dog or cat’s diet, or anything else pet-related that you’d normally discuss at your local store. Plus, if you log your purchases with your phone number, we can look up your past orders to help you find what you normally buy.

Of course, all our stores are still open, so feel free to come inside if you’d prefer. Our shelves are packed with the items you need for your dog or cat. We’re also practicing social distancing and taking other precautions to reduce the spread of coronavirus in all our stores.

If you’re new to curbside pickup and aren’t sure what to expect, here’s how it works:

  1. Browse our ShopLocal portal and place your order online. (Or call us at 888-426-8339 to place your order during business hours.)
  2. Wait for an email to let you know your order is ready for curbside pickup. (You’ll get a phone call if you ordered over the phone.) For most orders, you’ll be able to pick up your purchases within two hours. However, if you order within one hour of closing time or after business hours, you may have to wait until the next day we’re open.
  3. Visit your local store and call the store when you arrive. We’ll come to your vehicle and load your curbside pickup order, so you can be on your way.

A time of silence, in solidarity: 8 minutes, 46 se A time of silence, in solidarity: 8 minutes, 46 seconds, please join us!

To stand in solidarity today, June 4, we will temporarily close our doors for a moment of silence in recognition of George Floyd’s funeral. From 12:30 PM-1:00 PM, we are participating in a period of silence--specifically, 8 minutes, 46 seconds, starting at 12:45:00 PST through 12:53:46 PST. This time is to recognize a call for a National Day of Mourning and honor the life of George Floyd and countless other Black and POC citizens who have suffered violence as a result of discrimination and systemic oppression. This is an opportunity for us to stand together, continue this call for solidarity, and reflect on and recognize our own work within this movement.

Taking these minutes reflects our commitment to the work that lies ahead to address centuries of systemic racism in our country. We, as a company and a group of owners, recognize that this single event, in and of itself, is not enough. Muddies--including Mud Bay’s Exec Team and our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee--are engaging in tough, vulnerable conversations to understand our part in this long journey. We value every Muddy’s engagement in supporting one another and helping to make Mud Bay a more diverse, equitable and inclusive company. https://ecs.page.link/Gpprj
